The power of education is not only in the academic knowledge but also finding your place in the world and acquiring life experience. It takes all the necessary steps to facilitate our life and give us skills which will be appreciated by our families and employers. Valuable education prepares people for life and work and creates a bridge to the secured future.
Education has unbelievable power. The proper and right use of this power can keep us away from evil and make us wise, problem solver and a responsible citizen. It also keeps our mind calm and peaceful and enables a person to live a balanced happy life. Good education always remains in its place. However, sometimes people do not notice the fact that the knowledge which they learn today, they may use tomorrow or maybe ten years later. People are part of the world where they must learn continuously and exceed all the expectations while using knowledge gained from education; they must find a path to their lives.

Education is a journey from converting the Human Being in to Being Human. Unless the education makes you a good human being it is of no use. Education is not only what we learn in school or college. Everything we learn in life is also
education.Schooling is a formal process of acquiring knowledge which is divided in classes , acquired in stages and ultimately it makes the student fit for the world.The critical aspect of schooling is its emphasis on student to make him employable. education makes the person wise and enables him/her to take ‘wise’ decisions for the society in general and humanity in particular.Education also helps to develop healthy surroundings. Every object that a mankind creates is based over the knowledge that he attains through education. The more the society develops the more life becomes dependent over education.

Education is a ray of light in the darkness. It certainly is a hope for a good life. Education is a basic right of every Human on this Planet. To deny this right is evil. Uneducated youth is the worst thing for Humanity. Literacy rate of a country also depends upon on education. Literacy refers to the ability of a person to read and write. Literacy is important not only for children but also for adults. Higher the literacy rate, higher will be the growth of the country. Above all, the governments of all countries must ensure to spread Education.

Education is a central cohesive source of support and stability in the development of countries. Developing countries should have to recognize the importance of education and must focus on the development of high valued educational system because a sound education system works effectively for sustainable development of the economy as well as society. A stable economy of a country is closely related to education. The educated people of a country have more ability to become entrepreneurs, scientists, writers, doctors, and engineers and it may become a deciding factor for the future economic development of any country.

The importance of education for every person is to live freely and get freedom. Education helps people in economic activities and helps them to live on their own feet. Education plays an important huge role in the modern, industrialized world. People need an education to be able to survive in this competitive world. Modern society is based on people who have high living standards and knowledge which allows them to complete better solutions to their problems.

Education has importance in research work. In field of life, there is specialized education and research work is done in universities. Education produced the civilized and well-organized persons. The educated persons incorporate good ideas and ultimately go for advancement in life. Education helps one in getting out of one’s comfort zone as that is where the magic lies.


Some of the importance of education is mentioned below: 

  • Education can leave the long-lasting impact on universal development. An educated person always works for the benefits of society. We all recognize the importance of education, knowledge, and truth for promoting the world outlook. Education produces people who are men of intellectual and moral integrity, tolerant and wise. It aims at producing ideal human beings and such kind of people is truly cultured, wise, tolerant and public-spirited.
  • Education also helps to advance the national interest of the country. Highly educated people have an exceptional order of critical intelligence. Independent conclusions can be drawn from the facts they give.
  • Education promotes equality of prospect. Any privilege, when based primarily on benefits, is more morally certain because no uncertified privilege must be justified, no moral system is proposed that promotes a sense of grandeur or social snobbery and protects nothing, which is unjust or ethically wrong.
  • Educational activities enhance students' creativity. Education gives students the opportunity to use their skills in creative work and become more professional. Students' creative work provides opportunities for them to achieve their goals.
  • An educated person knows his responsibilities well. An educated person is aware of consumer rights, the right to vote or the right against exploitation by employers. Moreover, an educated person can raise his voice against some wrongdoings around him..
  • Education helps to build the character of every person. Instructors strive to give their students an ethical view.
  • Educated people live a happy life because education enables them to live a virtuous, happy, orderly and balanced life.
  • Educated people have a keen interest in discovering new things in life, and ultimately a passion for knowing and understanding things in a scientific way.
  • Education not only makes us able to learn theoretical about history, science, math, geography, and other subjects however it makes us smart enough to learn how to live life and handle bad situations
  • Education enables a person to earn a livelihood. It is true that employment does not depend on scholarly achievements alone. It depends upon the economic development of a country. The educated person can get a good job with a smart income to earn his livelihood.
  • Education not only keeps well informed about rights but also responsibilities of a person. It will make the person more responsible, who is able to work for the wellness of others.
  • A high-valued education system encourages freshness of approach. Education should bring out the best in the student. It should be able to bring new ideas and concepts. The education system should be innovatively coped with the latest technology and it should benefit all the learners or students equally. It should also teach them ethical values enabling them to promote the human-welfare, not self-glorification. By birth, no one is brilliant but education can make him/her civilized and beneficial for humanity.


Types of education?

Education can mean different things to different people. Some people analysis education as something that happens in a classroom, while others might see it as something that comes from life experiences. According to experts, there are three main types of education, namely Formal, Informal and Non-formal. Each of these types are discussed below.

  1. Formal Education

Formal education refers to the education that is given on purpose. The most important place to provide formal education is the school. The school also teaches subjects like mother tongue, science, mathematics, geography, history etc. which are formal education. To impart formal education, agencies are established regularly and syllabus is made. To meet the syllabus the program created when receives child education there. The grounds are given formal education used to evaluate students finally data privacy. Personal data tuition. Formal education is that which should be provided through pri. or planning, planning and relevant measures. Objectives, syllabus and teaching methods are also organized for formal education. Formal education is provided systematically.

Characterization of formal education:

  1. In formal education, the prescribed syllabus is completed in a fixed time.
  2. This education is provided by schools. Formal education is unnatural, artificial and complex.
  3. The objectives of formal education are ensured.
  4. This education goes on for life. Formal education is physical. 
  5. Formal education is very painful and wants hard work. 


2.Informal Education

In schools, children are able to get knowledge of only a few subjects. Reading, writing or acquiring knowledge is not only education. Education is wide and comprehensive. We learn from our experience of good and bad experiences and knowledge. Education is the sum of all kinds of experiences that a person receives in his lifetime. The education which is received through informal means is called informal education. 

Characterization of informal education: 

  1. Informal education runs from birth to death, it is a lifelong process. 
  2. There is no need for any system for informal education. 
  3. Informal education is simple and natural. 
  4. Informal education is received from everyone's environment, family, society and neighborhood etc. 
  5. Schools are not required to receive informal education. 


3. Non-Formal Education 

In view of the short comings of formal and non-formal education, a new form of education has been developed which was neither as restrictive, systematic, artificial and impractical as that of formal education, nor pre-natural, free, and natural like non-formal education. Non-formal education new form of education was a mixed form of both education. There is freedom in bondage as well as freedom in ideological education, there is a fixed program of education in it, but it remains free from the shackles of place, environment, class, age etc.

Characterization of non-formal education:


  1. Non-formal education has no age limit.
  2. Non-formal education is practical and vocational education.
  3. For non-formal education fees or certificates may or may not be necessary.
  4. Non-formal education may be full time or part-time learning and can earn and learn together.
  5. The time table and syllabus can be adjustable.
  6. It involves learning of professional skills.
